5. An MRI specialist running the scanner will come and meet you. He will ask you questions to make sure you are ready for the scan. He will show you where the lockers are for your personal belongings. He will show you where the restroom is located. We will take you into the scan room. You may have a parent come with you if you like.

 

 

 

 

 

6. You will sit down on the scanner bed and get comfortable by taking off your shoes. We will give you soft earplugs for your ears to muffle the scanner sounds. The scanner makes a lot of different sounds. Some sounds are like someone knocking on a door or like a buzzer. The earplugs will help to quiet these sounds.
